Mouth-blown and handmade Bohemian Glassware

The Alban collection was designed before Akua Objects was founded. The collection was sketched in 2019, while Annika’s firstborn son, Alban, was still growing in her belly.

The symbol of growing life and the remembrance of the poppy gave life to Akua Objects first collected drawings, which today represent a collection named after Alban.

The Alban glasses convey a contemporary take on the poppy that has always been close to Annika’s heart. 

The glasses sometimes carry small bubbles of air, eternally capturing the breath of the glass blower.

Given that each Akua piece is handcrafted, delicate handling is essential for its preservation.

The Alban collection is dishwasher safe. We recommend dishwasher programs of up to 50°c. Allow your glassware to cool in the dishwasher before removing it.

The glasses are not suitable for hot beverages.

Akua Objects was founded on a nostalgic wish to honour glassware as a poetic object with a purpose that goes beyond serving as a frame for water.

The brand is inspired by artisans who faithfully devote their lives to continuing ancient traditions in glass blowing and enhancing their skills throughout their lives

Akua Objects has a carefully selected production, working only with European partners and produces small quantities with sustainability deeply embedded in its core values.
