Donate your good-as-new toys for charity!
With the festive month of December coming up, the Toys ‘n Wrap Foundation collects toys, ensuring they reach children in and around Rotterdam for whom getting a present in December is not guaranteed. Do you have any good as new toys for children aged 0-12 lying around? Please donate!
The SUSAN BIJL flagship store on the Nieuwe Binnenweg 94 is one of many drop-off points. You can donate between November 11-15th, 2024. The initiative Toys ’n Wrap will take it from there.
What to donate:
- Toys that still look as good as new or that you would give to your favourite nephew or niece.
- Toys that are intended for children aged 0-12 years.
- Contrary to previous years, all toys need not be wrapped, for sustainability reasons. Only toys that must be kept together (a wooden puzzle or blocks, etc) must be wrapped in transparent wrapping foil.
- For hygiene reasons, we only collect new cuddly toys.
- More than one toy is, of course, allowed.

What is TOYS ‘N WRAP?
One in five children in Rotterdam lives in poverty. 18 per cent of the children in Rotterdam live in a low-income family. This is more than twice the average in the Netherlands.
Every little bit helps. The foundation consists of 15 volunteers who use their personal and business networks to collect toys. The Youth & Family Centre (CJG) handles the distribution, as they know better than anyone which families need these gifts the most. Last year, around 14,000 good-as-new toys and 7,000 books were collected!
